Yes, the different towns should work together to provide the best services for people in need. Possibly they already share resources. There is also a need for homeless shelters in Plainville and Southington. As the economy worsens, more middle class citizens are turning to the food pantries to be able to eat. People can't afford gas to get to their jobs, if they have one. When will this end?
As far as Food Banks go, I feel they should remain separate. As the economy worsens, when I am able to donate food or goods to our Food Bank, at least I know they will be used for our town citizens who are in need, rather than disappear into the general population of other towns.
